I was an accident

My birth was an accident. My life is NOT about love, family, friends or serenity. My father and mother just happened to be in the right place at the right time. This is typical of us “accidents”. Due to my circumstances, my life objective is quite different from “normies”. I have no desire for love, close friends or family. They aid me in my pursuit of fame but that is all they are to me.

I am PUBLIC. My desire is to be called “viral”. My recognition is counted in views, likes, dislikes, comments, shares, retweets, and favors. Your dislike of me counts as much as liking me.

All content objects have a life. I, as you, have a conception date. I may or may not have a birth certificate as millions of my companions have been aborted just today. I may or may not have a death certificate. My death depends on YOU. Maybe next week I die. Maybe in a million years I die. Maybe I live forever. These variables are determined by YOU and your kind.

I was an accident. Most of my kind are “spontaneously planned” (an oxymoron). Some are well planned. A few are well thought out, planned and given birth under great supervision. Most of my kind are forgotten. 10,000,000 of me will die in the next 6 seconds and no one will attend their nonexistent funerals. No one will remember their names.

I was an accident but YOU know me. You’ve heard my name again and again. You’ve Googled me. How long you remember me depends. Most likely you will forget my name with a few weeks.

The answer:

I am a VIRAL VIDEO. Specifically I’m “Charlie bit my finger” which was uploaded to Youtube in May of 2007. It has over 830,000,000 views. The financial impact to the family is in excess of $300,000.

LESSON for the DAY:

Always have your phone camera READY. You never know if you might be in the right place at the right time.
