Before you scan
Parking at Miller’s All Day: Know Your License Plate
The new parking routine was easy. The one thing I wish I had ready before starting was the number I would need twice.

- 01Have your plate ready
Memorize it or write it down before opening either QR code.
- 02Register in the lot
Use the sign for the section where you actually parked.
- 03Validate inside Miller’s
Scan the restaurant’s code and enter your plate again.
Before you scan a parking QR code at Miller’s All Day on James Island, know your license plate number. You are going to need it twice.
I had just left Miller’s after spending time with the owner, and this was the practical detail I wanted to pass along. The parking and validation process itself was easy. The frustration was discovering, once inside the restaurant with the screen already open, that I needed to enter my plate number again.
The shopping center is Terrace Theater Plaza, also commonly called Terrace Plaza. Miller’s is in Suite A at 1956 Maybank Highway. If you have been wondering what to do about the new paid-or-validated parking, here is how my visit worked.
Pay attention to the section
There are yellow and blue parking sections. On my visit to Miller’s, I parked in the yellow section. After parking, I found the nearby sign for that section, scanned its QR code and completed the registration.
The section I used for my Miller’s visit. I registered using the sign there.
A separate section. Check its posted instructions rather than assuming the yellow-section process applies.
The color matters because you need to follow the instructions for the space you actually used. This is a description of my yellow-section visit, not a claim that every business can validate every section.
The second scan is the trick
Inside Miller’s, there is another QR code for validation. Scan that code and complete the validation. That is where the license plate comes back into the conversation.
You have already entered it once. Now the screen wants it again. If you do not know it, you are standing inside a restaurant trying to leave the page, find a photograph or note, and then work out how to get back to the page you were just using.

That is an avoidable interruption. Before scanning anything, memorize the number or write it somewhere you can read without leaving the form. A photograph is useful as a backup, but it still means switching screens unless you have the number in your head.
Have the plate number ready for both scans, not just the first one.
Then enjoy your meal
Once I had completed the validation inside Miller’s, I was done with the parking process for that visit. I did not need to scan again after the meal or perform a separate departure timestamp.
Complete the validation when you arrive, check that it succeeded, and follow any time limit shown in the current instructions. My experience does not establish an unlimited stay or the rules for a different lot.
The useful part is how little there is to remember: the correct section, the sign outside, the validation code inside, and the same license plate number for both.
Know your plate before you scan. Then let the meal, not the parking screen, have your attention.
About the date, sources and firsthand account
I initially understood the change to have started October 1. The Terrace Theater’s published FAQ instead dates required parking registration to September 21, 2026. October 1 is therefore not presented here as a verified launch date.
The property owner’s Terrace Theater Plaza listing confirms the center’s name and Miller’s location. The restaurant’s own contact page confirms its James Island address.
The yellow-section walkthrough, the two license-plate entries and the absence of a departure step describe my own Miller’s visit. The theater’s validation arrangements are not a promise about Miller’s time allowance. Read the current signs and ask restaurant staff if the confirmation or permitted duration is unclear.
