Let It Be
So if reality is given to you, does that make this whole thing passive? Is there nothing left to do but observe?
Not at all.
There is you—the seat of witness. And there is also you—the participant. You’re an invited guest on the stage of the cosmos. You are not the playwright. You are not the wave-collapser. But you are a history maker. You get to participate, not by writing fiction, but by embodying truth. That’s what this article is about. That’s what Let It Be means.
Reality Is Already Given
Right now, there is an actual outcome in your numerator. It’s already there. You don’t have to invent it, summon it, or manifest it. She—the Immutable Past—has already collapsed the wave function. The numerator is present.
Meanwhile, your denominator—Expectation—is being built by your subconscious and your superconscious. Your prediction machinery and your ideal structure are assembling the base. You, the conscious observer, are not participating in that calculation. You do not construct expectation. You inherit it.
Reality = Actual / Expectation. That’s your gift. That’s what you’re given.
So What Can You Do?
You can accept it. Profoundly. Significantly. Letting it be doesn’t mean you’re passive. It means you’re not in resistance. You’re not scribbling over the actual. You’re not injecting fiction. You’re meeting what is.
Arguing with reality is suffering. They are synonyms. And the most direct way to argue with reality is simple: replace the actual with a desired outcome.
There is always an actual. A beautiful, complete actual. You don’t need to invent it—you need only to receive it. Your job is not to write the numerator, but to feel it. To witness the resonance it creates when divided by expectation.
The Gift of Participation
Letting it be is not passive. It’s deeply active. You participate in the cosmic dance not by rewriting the formula, but by responding to the music it plays.
Smile. Speak. Help. Build. Create. Love. Write poetry. Shake someone’s hand. These are the moves of a history maker. You are participating in the unfolding of what is actually happening. That is history.
You’re not creating your own reality. You’re not co-creating it. That illusion only arises when you start messing with the numerator—substituting desire for actual.
And yes, you’re allowed to do that. You’re free to keep erasing what she gave you and replacing it with a fictional number. But when you do, you’re no longer calculating reality. You’re calculating a distortion.
The more you do that, the more warped your prediction machinery becomes. The more anxious, confused, or disoriented your experience. The feedback loop gets noisy. The math stops making sense. And suffering compounds.
Let It Be
Let go of the desired outcome. It’s not needed. The actual is already there. And from it, your entire subjective experience still flows. You’ll still feel surprise. You’ll still experience joy and grief, pleasure and pain. But it will be clean. It will be true. It will be anchored to what actually happened, not what you wished had happened.
The only path to fear is fiction. The only path to hope is fiction. The only path to peace is presence.
Just stop fidgeting with the numerator.
Let it be.
