The eternal-now surface acts as a refractive medium, analogous to water slowing light. Instantaneous completeness is reduced to a finite propagation we measure as the speed of causality c (physicists call it the speed of light).
Reality = Actual / Expectation = 1 / Expectation
Expectation’s real component (sub-conscious prediction) and imaginary component (idea-entity) supply the local refractive index. Time is simply the phenomenon that prevents everything from happening at once; it is born of this speed limit inherent to the eternal now.

The Idea observes only the History Maker’s action on the membrane and infers success; direct confirmation is forever forbidden.
6 Animation and the Definition of Life
All frames of the cosmic film already exist, but appear to move because condensations are threaded through the membrane in hierarchical order.
- Life = any locus endowed with a denominator—an expectancy vector binding it to the Unknowable Future.
- Non-life = a completed approximation fixed in the archive, devoid of future feedback.
Life is therefore not breath but ratio: the capacity to revise expectation in dialogue with bias.
7 Perfect Form and Infinite Persistence
Hierarchy’s persistence is driven by the gap between perfect form and finite expression.
- Circle-in-itself: flawless, zero eccentricity.
