The Eternal Now: A Dynamic Intersection of Past and Future

The Nature of the Eternal Now

In the eternal now, our experience of time is confined to a perpetual present moment. This moment is not static but dynamic, characterized by constant change. Despite our attempts to measure fixed quantities like mass and position with precision, anything with 100% certainty does not belong to the eternal now but to the immutable past.

The Immutable Past and the Unknowable Future

Unlike many spiritual teachings that negate the existence of the past and future, the immutable past (She) and the unknowable future (He) are central to this framework. Their interaction defines the cosmic dance, with the eternal now serving as the stage. This interplay is not centered around human experience but rather the profound relationship and love between these two entities.

Observing the Past in the Eternal Now

Though we are confined to the eternal now, we can perceive remnants of the past through tangible objects. For example, a 2×4 piece of wood in a hardware store reveals the history embedded in its structure. The knots and imperfections narrate events from the past, demonstrating the presence of She. These marks, formed in the past, are observable in the eternal now, illustrating the immutable past’s influence.

The Reality Equation and the Presence of She and He

Reality, defined as the ratio of the actual to expectation, highlights the immutable nature of the past (She). In this equation, She is normalized to one, representing complete certainty, which comes from the last collapse of the universe’s wave function. This fixed past contrasts with He, who symbolizes the potential energy and possibilities of the future, continually shaping and sustaining our reality.

Energy and Persistence in the Eternal Now

The persistence of objects, like the 2×4 in a hardware store, is due to the continuous input of potential energy from He. This energy sustains their existence, aligning with the principle of conservation of energy observed from our perspective. Although energy cannot be created or destroyed within our confinement in the eternal now, it drives the dynamic interaction between past and future.

Conclusion

The eternal now, as the intersection of She and He, reveals the dynamic interplay between the immutable past and the unknowable future. While we experience reality within this perpetual present, the influences of both She and He are evident. The immutable past manifests through observable remnants, while the future’s potential energy sustains and transforms our current reality. This cosmic dance, centered on their interaction, underscores the essence of our existence in the eternal now.
