Sliding Glass

I call it “sliding glass”.  It is something you do every day with your finger rather on a watch, phone, pad or monitor. Brad Lawson (my fellow computer geek friend) and I got schooled by his 3 year old son on how to use an iPad.  When his son becomes the CEO of a corporation in a few years, he will not question the power of social media. He will inherently understand it. He will use it everyday. He will slide glass 100 times per day. He will choose private messaging and SnapChat over email.  He will use his camera to organize his life. He will talk to Siri all the time.  Siri will make decisions for him.  This will be as normal as breathing.

YOU slide glass everyday. Ever wonder why you don’t search on Facebook? Your watch, phone, pad and monitor knows you better than you know you.  YOU are the first digital generation. We are all still in kindergarten. Our future generations will read about us and scratch their heads.

Anonymity will be NO longer. You will have your own projection booth. Your kids, your boss, your parents will not be able to buy a ticket to your R Rated movie only your PG-13 movie.  It’s called PROJECTION.  It is an entire chapter in my new book called “Killing Anonymity”.

Siri and her girlfriends and boyfriends will have a durable power of attorney to make decisions on your behalf. You will slide glass today. It is your reality. I can tell you more about you than you simply by monitoring how you slide glass. In case you are not aware, every click you make is being monitored.

If your digital media trustworthiness falls below a certain threshold, you will be relegated to a different class of people. It will be the true digital divide. It will make poverty look easy. Clean up your act while you still can.
