Phase 4 Nearing Completion

Social Media Target, LLC alongside Apple, Samsung, Google and Facebook have witnessed the birth, ramp, growth and maturity of Phases 1,2,3 in 2nd Life implementations.

Phase 1 reached “completed” status in 2014 with the successful deployment of 3,900,000,000 hand-held devices with embedded cameras.

Phase 2 reached “completed” status in 2015 when both key performance indicators (KPIs) turned green. KPI #1 is “daily active users”. This KPI exceeded 2,650,000,000 in April 2015 (1 out of every 3 living persons on planet Earth regardless of age, geography, race, religion). KPI #2 is “number of times the device is used in a given cycle”. This is measured in 5 distinct ways. The most important milestone was achieved in May 2015 when in a SINGLE DAY, hand-held devices were used over 1,000,000,000,000 times.

Phase 3 reached “completed” status in March 2016. 1 in 3 humans now log more than 2,160,000 seconds in digital time (2nd Life) per cycle. This exceeds the time that humans spend watching TV.

Phase 4 has NOT reached “completed” status YET. Phase 4 requires Goggle to disclose that 3.2 zettabytes of VIDEO are searchable by anyone (aka publically available resource). We expect this announcement very soon.

Once Phase 4 is completed, we will begin Phase 5. The KPI for Phase 5 is “human faces recognized with a 98% or greater accuracy using free software”. The objective for completion is 2,400,000,000 faces.

Stay tuned.
